Oklahoma star defensive tackle David Stone, who suffered a knee injury in practice earlier this week, was in the starting lineup for Saturday's game at No. 2 Georgia.
Stone had been a game-time decision after he was hurt in Monday's practice. Sooners coach Brent Venables said that Stone's knee "kind of popped out" when he collided with a scout team player during a "jog through."
The Sooners also welcomed back starting linebacker Kip Lewis, who missed last week's 14-6 win against New Mexico because of a knee injury. Lewis had been hurt in the Sooners' 17-10 loss at Michigan on Sept. 12.
Meanwhile, Georgia running back Nate Frazier, who was a game-time decision because of a rib injury, wasn't on the field for the Bulldogs' first two possessions. Frazier is the Bulldogs' leading rusher with 202 yards and five touchdowns.
Frazier was replaced by Chauncey Bowens, who ran for 67 yards with three scores in the first three games.
The Bulldogs are also without receiver Isiah Canion, a Georgia Tech transfer, who was expected to be a big part of the passing game. Canion injured his leg in last week's 45-17 win at Arkansas.
Stone has 12 tackles, including two for loss and one half-sack, through three games. He was the No. 6 overall recruit in the 2024 class and had 42 tackles, including eight for loss and 1.5 sacks, last season.
This spring, Stone ranked as ESPN's No. 4 defensive tackle prospect for the 2027 NFL draft.
