          Indiana is adding yet another key defensive piece to its roster from last year's national championship team.

          Hoosiers edge rusher Kellan Wyatt is returning to Indiana for his fifth year, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel.

          Wyatt started seven games in 2025 before suffering a season-ending knee injury against Michigan State.

          His return will further bolster an already talented and deep Indiana defensive front that welcomed back star defensive lineman Stephen Daley for a fifth year earlier in the week. Daley ranked third nationally in 2025 with 19 tackles for loss.

          Wyatt, who played three years at Maryland before transferring to Indiana prior to last season, has 35 career starts. Before the injury last season, he had eight tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.

          Both Wyatt and Daley were cleared by Indiana officials for a fifth and final year in the wake of the district court ruling in Colorado.
