Jackson State pulls out 26-20 win over Alabama A&M
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Clayton Moore threw for two touchdowns and 311 yards to lead Jackson State to a 26-20 come-from-behind win over Alabama A&M Saturday.
Zach Pendleton was his main target, pulling in 9 catches for 193 yards.
Alabama A&M (3-7, 4-5 Southwestern Athletic Conference) jumped out to a 13-0 lead on a Lee Jaymason to Montauri Smith 24-yard scoring strike and field goals of 32 and 21 yards by Cesar Ramon. Jackson State (8-2, 8-0) tied the score 13-13 early in the third quarter on a 23-yard touchdown pass from Moore to Mich Perkins and Ryan Deising's two field goals from the 20.
The Tigers took their first lead 20-13 early in the third when Moore hit Tobi Singleton on a 24-yard touchdown pass.
Lee passed to Smith from the 1 to tighten the score to 26-20 with 1:16 remaining in the game. The ensuing onside kick was recovered by Jackson State.
