Easton throws for 391 and 4 scores to lead Bryant
FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Dalton Easton threw for 391 yards and four touchdowns to help lead Bryant close out its season with a 42-34 win over Sacred Heart on Saturday.
Sacred Heart closes the season with four consecutive losses, after opening 6-1.
Matt Sewall caught eight passes for 136 yards and two scores for Bryant (5-6, 4-2 Northeast Conference). Aaron Aryee added 97 yards receiving, including a 67-yard TD strike from Easton.
An Alec Finney 32-yard field goal gave Sacred Heart a 17-14 lead early in the second. However, the Bulldogs rallied, taking the lead for good on back-to-back Easton touchdown passes to close the half.
A Kevin Duke 13-yard scoring pass to Byron Barney cut the Pioneers (6-5, 1-5) deficit to one possession (35-27) late in the third. But Easton's 67 yard strike to Aryee 15 seconds later put the game away.
Duke finished with 227 yards and two TDs for Sacred Heart.
