Luuga, Scott lead UC Davis to 48-30 win over Sacramento St
DAVIS, Calif. -- Manusamoa Luuga ran for 249 yards with a touchdown and Ben Scott threw for five more scores to help lead UC Davis to a 48-30 win over Sacramento State in the season finale for both teams on Saturday.
Scott completed 14 of 24 passes for 292 yards. Scott's favorite target on the afternoon was Keelan Doss, who hauled in four of his five TD passes and accounted for 207 of his 292 passing yards.
The Aggies (3-8, 2-6 Big Sky) broke the game open in the second quarter. Doss caught three touchdown passes in the period and UC Davis led 34-17 at the break.
A Manny Scott-Anderson fumble return for a TD for Sacramento State cut it to 34-27 midway through the third. However two more Scott touchdowns, including a game-long 58-yarder to Doss, put the game away.
Jordan Robinson ran for 152 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Hornets (2-9, 2-6).
