Devlin Hodges throws for 3 TDs, Samford beats Wofford 37-27
SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Devlin Hodges had 439 total yards and three touchdowns and Samford scored 30 straight points in a 37-27 victory over Wofford on Saturday.
Hodges had two touchdown passes in the second half. He connected with Kelvin McKnight for 11 yards in the third quarter and found Denzel Williams for a 6-yard score early in the fourth.
Hodges was 28-of-38 passing for 345 yards and had 18 carries for 94 yards for Samford (5-5, 2-4 Southern). McKnight finished with 94 yards receiving, Karel Hamilton added 82 yards and a score and Emmanuel Obajimi had 82.
Wofford (4-6, 2-4) had seven rushers combine for 486 yards. Lorenzo Long had 162 yards and one touchdown, and Evan Jacks added 115 yards and one score. The Terriers were 4-of-12-passing for 62 yards.
