Nevada comes back to beat Hawaii 30-20
RENO, Nevada -- James Butler rushed for 134 yards with two touchdowns and Nevada came back to beat Hawaii 30-20 on Saturday.
The Wolf Pack (4-4, 2-2 Mountain West) scored 17 points in the fourth quarter, including Brent Zuzo's tiebreaking 30-yard field goal and Butler's 1-yard plunge with 2:20 left, which followed Nevada's third interception of the day.
Hawaii ran up a 17-0 lead after a pair of touchdown passes from Max Wittek to Devan Stubblefield of 29 and 9 yards.
Nevada answered with Butler's 1-yard scoring run with 1:12 in the half. Zuzo recovered his own onside kick, and then nailed a 40-yard field goal and the Wolf Pack trailed 17-10 at halftime.
The teams traded field goals in the third quarter, and a long Nevada drive resulted in Tyler Stewart's 5-yard touchdown pass to Jarred Gipson to tie the game at 20 at the start of the fourth.
