Jenkins, Jacksonville State top SE Missouri 49-30
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Eli Jenkins threw for three touchdowns, including a 58-yarder to Bo Brummel, to keep Jacksonville State undefeated in Ohio Valley Conference matchups this season with a 49-30 win over Southeast Missouri on Saturday.
Jacksonville State (10-1, 8-0) ripped off 21 straight points in the first quarter on touchdowns from DaMarcus James, who ran it in from the 14, Brummel's catch, and a 30-yard pass from Jenkins to Ruben Gonzalez to take a lead that was never challenged.
Jenkins finished with 200 yards on 11-of-16 passing with one interception. James finished with 111 yards on 12 carries and two scores, while Troymaine Pope had 114 yards rushing, including an 18-yard touchdown. Also scoring was Dalton Screws, who grabbed a 36-yard TD pass, and Christian LeMay, who punched in the Gamecocks' final TD from the 1.
Kyle Snyder led the Redhawks (5-7, 3-5) with 205 yards passing and three touchdowns.
