Cornell Big Red @ Columbia Lions
Cornell pushed Columbia skid to 20 with 30-27 win
NEW YORK -- Luke Hagy rushed for a career-high 148 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to lift Cornell to a 30-27 win over Columbia in a battle of winless teams that extended the Lions' losing streak to 20 games.
Hagy had a 63-yard scoring run early in the fourth quarter that gave the Big Red (1-8, 1-5 Ivy League) the win.
Under normal circumstances, that touchdown would have tied the game at 28 but little is normal for Lions (0-9, 0-6), who now have the second-longest losing streak in league history, only surpassed by their 44-game losing streak from 1983-1988.
Cameron Molina had two 1-yard touchdown runs in the third quarter, the second at 4:07 put Columbia up 27-21. However, the extra point was blocked and Jarrod Watson-Lewis returned it for a two-point defensive PAT, making it 27-23.
Molina finished with 118 yards on 29 carries for Columbia, which scored more than seven points for just the second time this season and has been out-scored 318-69.
