Yale beats Brown 24-17 with late touchdown
NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Deon Randall scored on a 32-yard run with 19 seconds left in the game to give Yale a 24-17 victory over Brown on Saturday.
Brown (5-3, 2/3 Ivy) had tied the game on Alex Norocea's 26-yard field goal with 17 seconds remaining in the third quarter. The field goal came after a Bears touchdown earlier in the quarter on Patrick Donnelly's 4-yard pass to Jordan Evans.
Donnelly also had a 5-yard TD pass to Tellef Lundevall to tie the game at 7 in the first quarter after Yale (5-3, 3-2) had scored on Henry Furman's 35-yard pass to Candler Rich. Yale retook the lead late in the quarter with another Furman TD pass, this one 6 yards to Myles Gaines.
A 46-yard field goal by Kyle Cazzetta put the Bulldogs up 17-7 at the half.
John Spooney rushed for 125 yards on 27 carries for Brown.
