Bennett leads SE Louisiana past SE Missouri 45-7
HAMMOND, La. -- Bryan Bennett started his Southeastern Louisiana career off by rushing for three touchdowns and 106 yards in the Lions dominating 45-7 win over Southeast Missouri.
Southeastern Louisiana's offense dominated the game, rolling up 494 yards and scoring 31 unanswered points. Kody Sutton, Xavier Roberson and Rasheed Harrell all rushed for more than 50 yards. Sutton and Roberson each had touchdowns.
Bennett, who transferred from Oregon, also threw for 169 yards.
Southeastern Louisiana's defense dominated Southeast Missouri, allowing zero points after the first quarter and spoiling quarterback Kyle Snyder's return.
Snyder spent last season on the sidelines after injuring his knee. The Lions defense held Snyder to 75 yards, on 6 of 13 attempts.
Lennies McFerren scored Southeast Missouri's lone touchdown on a 6-yard run in the first quarter, capping off a 10 play, 75 yard drive.
