News: 5 days agoGordon rushed three times for seven yards in Sunday's 35-13 loss to the 49ers.
Spin: The running back wasn't targeted in the passing game and saw some increased action after Jaylen Wright exited the game with a neck stinger. Neither back has much fantasy value outside of being an end-of-bench stash in the event something happens to De'Von Achane. The offense is bad enough that neither Gordon nor Wright would even be useful if Achane did go down.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Gordon is battling Jaylen Wright for backup work behind lead back De'Von Achane in Miami. Gordon was used sparingly as a rookie and didn't exactly move the needle. The 2025 sixth-round pick averaged an ugly 2.84 yards per carry on 70 attempts and 3.6 yards per target on the nine balls thrown his way. Gordon is still very young (22 years old), and his size (6-foot-1, 226 pounds) adds to his long-term intrigue. He'll have some insurance appeal if he beats out Wright for primary backup duties.
