News: 14 hours agoThompson (quadriceps) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Spin: Thompson has returned to limited practice after logging consecutive DNPs in the lead-up to the Chargers' Week 5 loss to the Broncos. The wide receiver did not participate in the contest and the weekend of rest appears to have boosted his recovery process. Thompson will likely need to upgrade to a full participant by Friday's session to dodge any injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Thompson was selected by the Chargers in the fourth round of April's draft. Thompson is an extremely small and very fast (4.26 40-yard dash) receiver who posted a rookie-class-high 18.5 YPR during his career and handled a massive 43% of Mississippi State's air yards last season. He didn't see much work prior to 2025, however, and figures to operate as a situational deep threat in the pros. He'll battle second-years Tre Harris and KeAndre Lamber-Smith for occasional looks behind Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston this season.
