Amanda Serrano books 'Last Walk' fight against Skye Falzon on Jan. 9

Amanda Serrano, a seven-division world champion who helped redefine the landscape of women's boxing, will make her final ring walk Jan. 9 in Puerto Rico, Most Valuable Promotions announced Wednesday.

Serrano (50-4-1, 32 KOs) will defend her WBO and WBA featherweight titles against Skye Falzon (12-2, 7 KOs) in "The Last Walk" inside Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. The fight will air on DAZN.

It will mark the final chapter of Serrano's historic professional career, which began in 2009 and saw her become one of the most accomplished fighters in women's boxing history as well as a driving force for greater recognition and compensation.

"Boxing has been my life, and I never could have imagined the journey it would take me and my family on," Serrano said in a statement. "From the early days when women's boxing was fighting for recognition in small theater shows, to headlining Madison Square Garden in New York, reaching millions of fans around the world on the biggest shows, and helping open doors for the next generation of female fighters. ... There's still more work to do, and I'll continue fighting for the next generation long after I hang up my gloves."

Serrano's retirement fight will consist of 12 three-minute rounds, a format she famously advocated for over the course of her career. In October 2023, her featherweight title fight against Danila Ramos became the first women's unified championship bout contested over 12 three-minute rounds since 2007.

Serrano later vacated her WBC title rather than compete under the traditional format of 10 two-minute rounds, demanding the same format as men's championship bouts.

She became the first women's boxer to sign with Jake Paul's MVP in 2021, and her trilogy with Ireland's Katie Taylor from 2022 to 2025 became one of the biggest attractions in the sport.

"Amanda Serrano is the MOAT: the Most of All Time," MVP co-founders Paul and Nakisa Bidarian said in a statement. "When Amanda became MVP's first signee, we made a commitment to build a platform where the greatest female fighters in the world could receive recognition, compensation and opportunities they deserve. Amanda has been the foundation of that vision, and her success has helped change the entire landscape of women's boxing."

The kickoff news conference to officially announce the fight will take place Tuesday in San Juan.

"To close my career at home in Puerto Rico, in front of the people who have supported me from the beginning, means everything," Serrano said. "On Saturday, January 9, I'm going to give the fans one final night to remember."
