Daniel Dubois belittles Fabio Wardley: 'He punches like a baby'

Daniel Dubois has belittled Fabio Wardley's power and ability, saying he "punches like a baby."

Ahead of their heavyweight title rematch in London on Saturday, Dubois (23-3, 22 KOs) has dismissed Wardley (20-1-1, 19 KOs) and insisted he is going to "bash him up easy."

Dubois won their first meeting in May with a Round 11 stoppage in Manchester to claim Wardley's WBO strap and become a two-time heavyweight world champion.

However, he did it the hard way, climbing off the canvas in the opening seconds of the fight and again in Round 3 to produce an excellent display in a brutal contest with referee Howard Foster stopping the fight in the penultimate round.

Despite the knockdowns, Dubois told reporters he thought little of Wardley's attributes.

"I'm going to beat him up easy. I'm going to break him up. He ain't got no power so I'll just break him down and beat him up. I'm his daddy," Dubois said.

"He doesn't have no power, he doesn't punch ... He punches like a baby. I didn't feel nothing. You just get up and you keep fighting. I didn't feel nothing."

Dubois, who rose to stardom with his knockout of Anthony Joshua in 2024, said Wardley doesn't have what it takes to improve on his performance in May.

"He ain't got no power and he ain't going to be able to take my punches," Dubois said.

"He's not good enough to adapt. He's going to do the same thing. I know what I'm going to do to him is a lot worse I just can't wait to get in there. I feel clarity. It's very good. I'm just looking forward to the fight."
