The Seattle Seahawks have been mixing and matching offensive linemen all summer in hopes of finding their best five.
But the best five won't see action together in the team's third preseason game against the Chargers Saturday night. That's because left tackle Russell Okung is out with a shoulder injury. Word from the team is that holding him out is precautionary, and the injury is not believed to be serious.
Taking Okung's place at left tackle will be Alvin Bailey. Bailey started at left guard during the first preseason game, but struggled. Since then, Justin Britt has moved from right tackle to left guard.
The expected starters up front from left to right are: Bailey, Britt, Drew Nowak, J.R. Sweezy and Gary Gilliam. The Seahawks have had a different starting combination for each of the three preseason games.
Other Seahawks not expected to play: strong safety Keenan Lambert, QB Tarvaris Jackson, WR Paul Richardson, WR Chris Matthews, CB Jeremy Lane, FS Earl Thomas, SS Kam Chancellor, CB Triston Wade, OL Kristjan Sokoli and OT Jesse Davis.
