          NEW YORK -- Jonathon Niese, who originally had been due for a follow-up MRI today, now will undergo the medical exam on Monday.

          Niese said the doctor is vacationing in the Hamptons.

          The follow-up exam on Niese's partially torn rotator cuff will determine whether the southpaw can begin tossing a baseball or whether he might need surgery.
