Without further delay, my mini-mock draft, starting with Los Angeles and ending in New York:
1. Los Angeles Rams -- Jared Goff, QB, Cal
Comment: They traded everything except the "Hollywood" sign to get this pick. He'd better be great.
2. Philadelphia Eagles -- Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State
Comment: Poor kid. He goes from laid-back North Dakota into a red-hot, big-city quarterback controversy.
3. San Diego Chargers -- Ronnie Stanley, T, Notre Dame
Comment: He's one of the so-called late risers, whatever that means.
4. Dallas Cowboys -- Jalen Ramsey, CB, Florida State
Comment: Call me picky, but I'd be a little concerned that he had no interceptions last season.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars -- Myles Jack, LB, UCLA
Comment: Some teams are afraid of his knee situation. He could fall if he gets past the Jags.
6. Baltimore Ravens -- Laremy Tunsil, T, Ole Miss
Comment: Arguably the top player in the draft falls to the Wizard of Oz.
7. San Francisco 49ers -- DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon
Comment: Even with Chip Kelly on board, the 49ers are able to see DeForest through the trees.
8. Cleveland Browns -- Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State
Comment: Let's face it, no one knows what the Browns will do. They might draft a guy with a high OPS.
9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Leonard Floyd, LB, Georgia
Comment: Weird fact: They're picking ninth for the first time in the common-draft era.
10. New York Giants -- Jack Conklin, T, Michigan State
Comment: They won't be bummed that Floyd is gone. Conklin is their guy. Lock it up.
11. Chicago Bears -- Shaq Lawson, DE Clemson
Comment: Some day, he'll be playing for the Jets, because isn't that where all old Bears go?
12. New Orleans -- Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville
Comment: I'm not buying any of the Paxton Lynch buzz. At all.
13. Miami Dolphins -- Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State
Comment: Old friend Mike Tannenbaum adds a much-needed playmaker to the AFC East.
14. Oakland Raiders -- Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida
Comment: They're on a roll. Their past two first-round picks, WR Amari Cooper and LB Khalil Mack, were selected to the last Pro Bowl.
15. Tennessee Titans -- Taylor Decker, T, Ohio State
Comment: Much-needed protection for Marcus Mariota. They allowed a league-high 54 sacks.
16. Detroit Lions -- Josh Doctson, WR, TCU
Comment: They need to replace Calvin Johnson, their last first-round wide receiver (2007).
17. Atlanta Falcons -- Karl Joseph, S, West Virginia
Comment: Wonder if the Falcons will be piping crowd noise into their draft party.
18. Indianapolis Colts -- Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama
Comment: He'll be what Jeff Saturday was to Peyton Manning.
19. Buffalo Bills -- Darron Lee, LB, Ohio State
Comment: He's fast and cocky, Rex Ryan's kind of player.
20. New York Jets -- Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss
Comment: General manager Mike Maccagnan says he will pick the best player available. The way I see it, the choices are Treadwell, CB Eli Apple , CB William Jackson III and LB Reggie Ragland. I think Doctson would be a consideration if he's available. Treadwell's 40 time (4.6) is a concern, but he's the highest player on the board and the Jets live in a three-receiver offense. Lynch won't be the pick, from what I'm hearing.
