Seven of the players who failed to survive Saturday's final roster cut-down were named Sunday to the New York Giants' practice squad. They are:

OL Stephen Goodin
OL Eric Herman
WR Marcus Harris
WR Julian Talley
CB Charles James
Since practice squads can including up to eight players, that obviously leaves one open spot, which the Giants could use to sign someone else or, if they add a veteran running back or safety in the coming days, to shift someone from their current 53-man roster there. Linebacker Kyle Bosworth, who was cut Saturday, caught on with the Dallas Cowboys, who are the Giants' Week 1 opponent.
