Denver Nuggets backup forward Darrell Arthur has been limited during training camp and unavailable for game action in the preseason as he recovers from left knee surgery. According to Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post, Arthur believes he will be cleared for all basketball-related activities in 10 to 14 days.

Whenever Arthur is ready for game action, coach Michael Malone will use him as a backup at the power forward position behind Kenneth Faried, Juancho Hernangomez and Danilo Gallinari.

Arthur, who signed a three-year, $23 million contract on July 8, dealt with knee pain last season, so the training staff will hold him back until they are satisfied that the soreness won't be an issue moving forward.

Arthur played in 70 games last season and averaged 7.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
