With starting shooting guard Khris Middleton sidelined for the next six months following surgery to repair his ruptured left hamstring, Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd is planning to give Rashad Vaughn a long look at the spot during the preseason. The other option is Jason Terry, a 17-year NBA veteran, if Vaughn fails to impress, which isn't much of an upgrade for Kidd. With that in mind, the Bucks might call a few teams around the league to find out the availability of possible targets.

Gery Woelfel of The Journal Times wrote a speculative article about shooting guards that might be available via trade after speaking with league source,s and they include Gary Harris and Will Barton from the Denver Nuggets, Ben McLemore from the Sacramento Kings, Alec Burks from the Utah Jazz, Jeremy Lamb from the Charlotte Hornets, Terrence Ross from the Toronto Raptors and Nick Young from the Los Angeles Lakers.
Of that group, McLemore, Lamb and Young could likely be had for a small price, if the Bucks wanted any of the three, which they probably don't.
The Bucks have been shopping Greg Monroe for almost 10 months, and they could look to move him for a shooting guard at some point, if Vaughn and Terry struggle in the coming weeks.
"It’s sounds trite, but you got to give up something good to get something good," an NBA general manager said. "Those guys [Michael Carter-Williams and Monroe] are good players. But I’d be careful about giving up a draft pick; next year's draft is going to be pretty good."
