Report: Could Webster be a 'stretch-four'?

This is a new era in the NBA as a bunch of teams play "small-ball" at times as a way to speed up the game and create mismatches where slower defenders have to take on quicker players. There is a chance the Washington Wizards will use this philosophy during the coming season and Martell Webster, 6-7, may be a player who shifts up to power forward from his normal wing positions. From J. Michael of CSN Mid-Atlantic:

"Webster played some when he began his career with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Wizards have floated the possibility of using him there when -- if? -- he can work his way back onto the court. The challenge, of course, will be cracking the rotation that already has Drew Gooden, Jared Dudley and Alan Anderson expecting to log a majority of the time there behind Nene when the Wizards go to small-ball lineups. ... Dudley had back surgery last month to repair a bulging disk (L5-S1) and might not return until mid-November at the earliest. That could be the window Webster needs to make the most of his time as he goes into the final fully guaranteed year of his deal."
