Report: Landry's dream comes true

The Milwaukee Bucks worked out forward Marcus Landry on Monday and later in the day he signed a make-good contract. Landry, a Milwaukee native, is thrilled to have signed the deal with his hometown team. From Gery Woelfel of The Journal Times:

"The 6-foot-7, 235-pound Landry said he longed to play for the Bucks for years but never could work out an agreement with the team. ... Landry said his agent, Keith Kreiter of Chicago, had been in contract with Bucks officials for the last several weeks in an attempt to finalize a deal. Landry, who said he stressed to Kreiter how much he wanted to play for his hometown NBA team, finally sealed the deal Monday at the Bucks’ training facility in St. Francis. 'I did tell Keith that I wanted to play for the Bucks,' Landry said. 'They were my main focus, they were the team I wanted to play for. It’s like a dream come true.' Landry realizes making the Bucks’ final roster won’t be easy. They already have 15 guaranteed contracts, the maximum number allowed by the NBA."

Landry played in Spain last season with CAl Zaragoza and averaged 10 points and 3.4 rebounds. Landry is a one-year NBA veteran after playing with Boston and New York during the 2009-10 season.
