Indians by the numbers: Indians win despite Kipnis' hitless day

Jason Kipnis went hitless, but the Cleveland Indians beat the Seattle Mariners 4-3 on Saturday, winning for the fifth time in their last six road games.

Jerry Sands had his second multi-RBI game of the season after tallying one such game last year.

Kipnis was 0-for-4, snapping a nine-game hitting streak. It’s the fourth time in 28 games this month Kipnis failed to record a hit; he is hitting .430 in May, the best average in baseball.
