MINNEAPOLIS -- Even though linebacker Anthony Barr was listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams, it seemed to be a foregone conclusion he would play after coach Mike Zimmer said he was "full-go" in practice on Friday. And indeed, Barr will start against the Rams.
He is in the lineup with Audie Cole, who will start at middle linebacker in place of the injured Eric Kendricks and Chad Greenway. The Vikings, who will try to slow down Rams rookie running back Todd Gurley, will also be without Sharrif Floyd for the third consecutive game.
The Vikings' list of inactives for the Rams game contains few surprises, but the team could catch a break with the absence of Rams defensive end Robert Quinn, who figured to command plenty of Matt Kalil's attention. Quinn was questionable for the game with a knee injury and will not play. While the Rams' defensive front still presents plenty of challenges, the Vikings at least won't have to deal with Quinn.
