New veterans guards hit market with Raiders ties

The Oakland Raiders are looking for a starting guard this offseason in light of Austin Howard's move to right tackle.

Oakland general manager Reggie McKenzie said the NFL draft is strong for interior offensive linemen. However, Oakland will have a ton of salary cap room and can address the position in free agency. Three interesting names are hitting the market that could interest the Raiders.

Philadelphia has cut Todd Herremans , Minnesota has cut Charlie Johnson, and Atlanta has cut Justin Blalock. Herremans and Johnson have played for new Oakland offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave. Blalock played for new offensive line coach Mike Tice.

So these are three names to keep an eye on. Because they have been cut, Oakland can get a head start in free agency now. It officially begins on March 10.
