Haywood transferring to Central Arkansas

Oklahoma sophomore tight end Austin Haywood, who left the Sooners in October, has enrolled at Central Arkansas.

Haywood was a four-star recruit out of Southmoore High School, located about 15 miles away from OU's campus. He was ranked No. 48 in the 2010 ESPNU 150. He caught six passes for 42 yards through seven games this season before deciding to transfer.

"I think it’s the best program for me," Haywood told SoonerNation's Jake Trotter.

He will have two years of eligibility remaining and will be eligible immediately because Central Arkansas is an FCS school.

Haywood's transfer destination was first reported by The Oklahoman.
