BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU needs a kicker in its 2014 signing class and during its special teams camp on Saturday, it found what it wanted and got a commitment.
Cameron Gamble (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound) committed after LSU's special teams camp, becoming the 12th Tiger commitment of the class.
Gamble is a student of both the Chris Sailer Kicking School and Kohl kicking camps. Both confirmed his commitment on Twitter Saturday night as did sources close to LSU.
Congratulations to CSK student & "TOP 12" Member Cameron Gamble. He has been offered by LSU & has committed! #TeamSailer #GeauxTigers

Congrats to 2014 Kohl's Camper Cameron Gamble for committing to LSU today!

Kohl's rated Gamble as the nation's ninth-best kicking prospect.
LSU lost starting kicker Drew Alleman to graduation after last season and returns junior kickoff specialist James Hairston. Either Hairston or a walk-on will handle placement kicks this season. Walk-ons Colby Delahoussaye and Trent Domingue handled placement kicks in the spring game, and LSU has added a preferred walk-on, true freshman Alex Kjellsten (Lake Charles, La./St. Louis) to its 2013 roster.
