Brisbane
1. Kai Lohmann, 8/10 -- A proven finals performer delivered again. Kicked two goals, while his clean hands led to majors for Oscar Allen and Levi Ashcroft. Also laid a career-high 10 tackles.
2. Sam Draper, 5/10 -- Didn't allow Dockers star Luke Jackson to dominate in the way we all know he can. Hit the scoreboard himself with a team-lifting second quarter goal.
3. Jaspa Fletcher, 6.5/10 -- Lively off half back for most of the day and showed some real moments of composure. He intercepted, won plenty of ball, and offered drive.
4. Oscar Allen, 5.5/10 -- He spent a third of the game on the pine but made an impact when on the field with two goals and clean hands throughout. His three first quarter tackles were a big plus.
5. Josh Dunkley, 8.5/10 -- Could not have played a more inspirational game if he tried. In and under throughout with 14 contested possessions and 12 tackles. Smothers. Spoils. Gut-busting runs. He did everything. Easily could have won the Norm Smith Medal.
6. Hugh McCluggage, 5/10 -- Wasn't nearly as influential as in the preliminary final. Missed a simple set shot in the fourth quarter that would have been scrutinised had the Lions not pulled one out of the fire.
7. Jarrod Berry, 6/10 -- Prolific and under pressure in the back half a lot in the first half. Was less involved as the game wore on but a contributor nonetheless with 17 disposals, six intercepts, and nine contested possessions.
8. Will Ashcroft, 8/10 -- Did what he always seems to do on Grand Final day. Finished with a game-high 31 disposals and nine clearances. Played his best footy in the final term (12 disposals) when the Lions needed him most.
9. Lachie Neale, 5.5/10 -- Enjoyed some clean moments at the contest but for the fourth straight final was well below his best. His third quarter easy set shot miss summed up his afternoon, really.
10. Levi Ashcroft, 6/10 -- Bounced back from an early shaky turnover to have a solid game. Booted a second quarter goal, took seven marks, and had 19 disposals at 90% disposal efficiency.
13. Logan Morris, 6.5/10 -- He was the hero with two goals at the death to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Kicked three and set up one of Lohmann's with a clever handball out of a contest.
15. Dayne Zorko, 7.5/10 -- Did a little bit of everything. Had a stack of footy early but struggled to use it efficiently. Finished with 28 disposals and nine marks, as well as seven tackles and seven intercepts.
16. Cam Rayner, 6.5/10 -- Had 18 disposals and more score involvements (8) than any of his Lions teammates and played his best footy late. Should have had a goal of his own in the first quarter but fluffed his lines.
22. Ty Gallop, 3.5/10 -- Looked shaky and totally out of his depth on Dockers spearhead Josh Treacy for much of the day. A pair of late intercepts saved him from a harsher rating.
23. Charlie Cameron, 8/10 -- Booted the first goal of the game (the first of three) and was electric throughout with his speed and cleanliness at ground level. He won countless one-on-ones and was just about as influential as anyone else on the ground.
26. Conor McKenna, 4.5/10 -- Kicked another miracle goal from a sharp angle and set up an important Lohmann goal but wasted a few other chances he'd nail on another day. Was the only Lion who failed to take a mark.
27. Darcy Gardiner, 3/10 -- Not sure he won a contest against Jye Amiss all day. Was beaten time after time and would be copping immense criticism if not for his team pulling off the most improbable late comeback.
30. Eric Hipwood, 3/10 -- Missed a couple of chances in the first half and was held to just one kick in the second. Finished up with a disposal efficiency of 33% from his six kicks.
31. Harris Andrews, 4.5/10 -- Didn't have a disposal in the first quarter, allowed Patrick Voss to kick three on him, and had the shocking turnover that led to the late Michael Fredrick goal. Having said that, he did have seven intercepts and 15 one percenters.
32. Darcy Fort, 4/10 -- Provided serviceable ruck relief to Draper. Didn't have many notable moments, good or bad.
33. Zac Bailey, 7/10 -- Was prolific and influential without being at his devastating best. Set up the important Charlie Cameron goal in the third quarter with a gut-busting run on the wing and snapped a brilliant goal of his own in the dying minutes.
35. Ryan Lester, 5/10 -- Was shaky and unsure early but his 2026 Grand Final will be remembered for that remarkable goal-saving tackle on Josh Treacy. A game-changing moment.
44. Darcy Wilmott, 6.5/10 -- Was a safe and reliable hand out of the back half all day. Used the ball by foot with elite efficiency and won five intercepts.
Fremantle
3. Caleb Serong, 8/10 -- Tireless all game and a beast around the contest. His 13 clearances and 17 contested possessions were both game-highs, as he consistently drove Fremantle forward.
5. Heath Chapman, 7.5/10 -- Calm and composed behind the footy, reading the play superbly and bravely leaving his man to impact contests. Five intercepts. Nearly flawless, aside from one holding-the-ball error.
6. Jordan Clark, 5/10 -- Kept quieter than usual but still found plenty of the footy in defence, finishing with 14 disposals and nine intercepts without having his usual influence. Seven turnovers, too.
8. Andrew Brayshaw, 6.5/10 -- Not flashy, but did plenty of the hard work that often goes unnoticed. His seven tackles and six clearances were more telling than his 16 disposals.
9. Luke Jackson, 7.5/10 -- Clearly won the ruck battle with 47 hitouts and 13 to advantage, driving Fremantle's dominance around the stoppages. Also won four clearances, and his two contested marks underlined his influence around the ground.
10. Shai Bolton, 8/10 -- A constant spark and Fremantle's biggest source of X-factor, finishing with a team-high 26 disposals and the Norm Smith Medal. His 58% disposal efficiency and scrappy forward 50 entries stopped this rating being higher.
13. Luke Ryan, 4/10 -- A shaky start featured uncharacteristic fumbles and some nervous moments in defence. Settled somewhat and had a few nice moments, but never had a major influence on the contest.
16. Murphy Reid, 6.5/10 -- A strong finals response given his previous performances, finishing with 21 disposals, six inside 50s, and a clever goal. He was crafty early but then faded as the game wore on. His ball use also let him down at times, with too many missed targets.
17. Judd McVee, 5/10 -- Started slowly and was beaten by Charlie Cameron early, but worked his way into the game. Six intercepts and six score involvements, plus a huge fourth-quarter smother on a Kai Lohmann set shot were his highlights.
18. Mason Cox, 4/10 -- Limited to 32% game time so was never able to get into it, with no marks and four hitouts. Wasn't beaten aerially when he was out there, and didn't have an impact outside of two effective disposals when given his chances.
20. Patrick Voss, 7.5/10 -- Played a crucial role on Harris Andrews, keeping the Brisbane star accountable and limiting his influence while making his own impact. Voss took important marks, laid strong tackles, and finished with three goals and eight score involvements from just nine disposals.
21. Oscar McDonald, 5/10 -- Another Freo defender who started shaky, but lifted when given more responsibility after captain Alex Pearce left the field injured. Finished with a game-high four intercept marks.
23. Karl Worner, 4/10 -- Some useful one-percenters and had 16 disposals with 529 metres gained, but he was outmuscled too often and had a few moments he'd rather forget.
24. Jye Amiss, 6/10 -- Amiss was good after not touching the footy in the first quarter. Finished with two goals from 10 disposals, but crucially won most one-on-ones when duelling with Darcy Gardiner. The Docker won that battle.
25. Alex Pearce, 3/10 -- A miserable afternoon for the skipper, who looked to be playing sore before leaving with an Achilles issue in the third term. Had little impact defensively and struggled to influence the game before that moment.
26. Hayden Young, 8.5/10 -- One of Fremantle's best all afternoon and a class above at times. Young combined his usual skill and power with a huge work rate, finishing with 22 disposals, nine tackles, and eight score involvements, while his two goals in the third term were both massive.
28. Neil Erasmus, 5.5/10 -- Had some clean and composed moments amid the chaos around him, using the ball neatly and generally doing his bit without having a consistent major influence.
32. Michael Frederick, 6.5/10 -- Worked tirelessly up and down the ground, constantly chasing and harassing his opponents. His four tackles showed the defensive effort, and he nailed a huge final-quarter goal.
34. Corey Wagner, 4/10 -- Played his usual half-back/wing role without doing anything particularly eye-catching.
35. Josh Treacy, 7/10 -- Treacy was excellent around the ground, taking three contested marks and regularly getting the better of Ty Gallop in the air. He finished with one goal but was a constant threat, though a costly brain-fade miss from directly in front in the final term will haunt him.
39. Sam Switkowski, 6/10 -- The retiring Switkowski stayed involved all game and played his usual hard-working defensive-forward role. Remained lively around the 50 applying pressure and creating opportunities while finishing with 16 disposals, six marks, and four tackles.
43. Isaiah Dudley, 6/10 -- A constant spark whenever he got near the ball, with 13 disposals and two stunning goals. Dudley took on opponents, dodged his way through traffic and made his moments count, although he had just one touch in the final term.
44. Matthew Johnson, 4.5/10 -- Had some good wins in and under but otherwise struggled to make his mark on the contest. A missed set shot in the final term was a chance to stamp himself on the game.
