Greenwell has 21, No. 15 Duke rolls Clemson
DURHAM, N.C. -- Rebecca Greenwell scored 21 points, Lexi Brown added 13 and No. 15 Duke rolled to a 65-37 win over Clemson on Thursday night.
Greenwell hit 8 of 13 shots and grabbed four rebounds to surpass 500 for her career. It is the first time Greenwell, who averaged 20.5 points through the first 12 games, broke 20 in the last 13.
The Blue Devils (19-4, 7-3 Atlantic Coast Conference, opened the game with a 13-2 burst with Brown scoring six and Brown five. Both had notched both of their 3-pointers by halftime and combined for 22 points as the lead reached 34-20 at the break. Greenwell had six points in a 15-2 run in the fourth quarter.
Jaia Alexander led the Tigers (12-11, 1-9) with 11 points. Clemson finished at 28 percent shooting (13 of 47), had 19 turnovers and was outrebounded by 10.
