STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Maci Morris scored 17 points, Makayla Epps had 16 and No. 16 Kentucky took charge in the third quarter and rolled No. 14 Mississippi State 83-60 on Thursday night.
Reserves Taylor Murray and Alexis Jennings combined to score 25 points, going 10 for 11 from the foul line, for the Wildcats (18-6, 7-6 SEC), who won their third straight. Epps had eight rebounds and five assists and Evelyn Akhator had 12 rebounds as Kentucky had a 49-34 advantage on the boards.
Kentucky was up on the Bulldogs, who were 13-1 at home, 37-30 at the half and then outscored them 22-10 in the third. The lead reached 27 in the fourth quarter.
The starters for Mississippi State (21-6, 8-5) combined to go 6 of 26 from the field, including 0 of 3 from 3-point range, and 3 of 6 from the foul line and none reached double figures. Breanna Richardson led the Bulldogs, who shot 35 percent, with 13 points.
