No. 22 Louisville women pull away to beat Marist 65-53
ESTERO, Fla. -- Myisha Hines-Allen came off the bench to score 18 points and No. 22 Louisville closed on a 16-3 run to defeat Marist 65-53 in the Gulf Coast Showcase on Friday.
A layup by Tori Jarosz gave Marist a 50-49 lead with 6:01 to play but Arica Carter sandwich a pair of layups around a Briahanna Jackson 3-pointer to put the Cardinals up 56-50. Following another Jarosz layup, Cornee Walton had a layup, Mariya Moore converted a 3-point play and Hines-Allen followed with a 3-pointer to break it open.
The Red Foxes had seven turnovers after taking their last lead.
Jackson had 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists and Moore 11 points for Louisville (1-2), which shot 37 percent in the first half and trailed 32-28.
Jarosz had 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocks for Marist (0-5). Allie Clement added 12 points.
