EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Tori Jankoska had 28 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists to help No. 24 Michigan State beat Detroit 81-42 on Monday night for its fifth straight victory.
Jankoska was 9 of 11 from the field to reach double figures in her 11th straight game this season.
Aerial Powers added 16 points and nine rebounds for Michigan State (9-2), which scored over 70 points for the ninth straight game.
Michigan State built a 43-26 lead at halftime behind Jankoska's 13 points as the Spartans had 13 assists on 16 field goals and shot 57 percent from the floor.
Detroit went scoreless for nearly five minutes in the third quarter as Michigan State went on a 12-0 run for a 64-33 lead.
Nicole Urbanick and Brianne Cohen had 13 points apiece for Detroit (4-6), which was 16-of-67 shooting (23.9 percent). Urbanick made four of Detroit's nine baskets in the first half and had 10 points.
