Stevens, No. 13 Duke women beat UMass 70-46
DURHAM, N.C. -- Azura Stevens had 24 points and 10 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season and No. 13 Duke beat Massachusetts 70-46 on Monday night.
It was Stevens' fourth 20-plus game this season.
Duke led 33-26 at halftime and scored the first 10 points of the third quarter, capped by Stevens's 3-pointer. The Blue Devils held UMass to just six points in the third -- on two field goals.
Rebecca Greenwell had 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Duke (8-2). Lyne Belton tied a career-high with 10 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Blue Devils, who forced 16 turnovers and held UMass to 30 percent shooting.
Duke jumped out to a 13-4 lead behind Stevens' five points. She finished the first half with 15.
Bria Stallworth led UMass (3-6) with 20 points on 8-of-26 shooting. The Minutewomen made just 4 of 25 3-pointers (16 percent) and hit 6 of 13 free throws.
