FRESNO, Calif. -- Jonquel Jones had 13 points and 13 rebounds for her second straight double-double, Lauren Chase added 12 points, eight boards and seven assists, and No. 24 George Washington beat Fresno State 61-53 on Monday night.
George Washington led by as many as 16 points early in the fourth quarter.
Caira Washington added nine points and nine rebounds for George Washington (3-1).
The Colonials are on a 10-day road trip, which includes five games in eight days.
Moriah Faulk led Fresno State (1-3) with 16 points and 11 rebounds for her fifth career double-double. Shauqunna Collins added 14 points and seven rebounds. The Bulldogs were held to 18-of-59 shooting (31 percent).
Fresno State led 17-11 after the first quarter, but George Washington bounced back with a 16-5 advantage in the second.
