PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Betnijah Laney scored 17 points and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds for her fifth consecutive double-double to open the season, and No. 21 and undefeated Rutgers beat winless Colgate 66-44 on Friday.
Kahleah Copper also scored 17 points for the Scarlet Knights (5-0). Both Laney and Copper made over half of their shots, making up for Rutgers' overall shooting percentage of 37.1 (26 of 70).
