No. 12 Texas A&M women take down Auburn 78-45
COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Courtney Williams scored a career-high 23 points to lead No. 12 Texas A&M past Auburn 78-45 on Sunday for its 14th straight win at home.
Williams was 10 of 18 from the field and had all of her points by the 9:25 mark of the second half.
Courtney Walker had 13 points and seven rebounds for Texas A&M (17-5, 5-3 SEC). Jordan Jones dished out 10 assists as the Aggies hit 31 of 56 shots (55.4 percent).
Texas A&M took a 39-17 into the intermission behind Williams' 13 points. The Aggies outscored the Tigers 18-1 in the final six minute of the first half.
Auburn, losers of 10 straight games, was held to 6-of-21 shooting in the first 20 minutes and finished the game at 34 percent.
Tra'Cee Tanner and Brandy Montgomery scored 10 points apiece for Auburn (9-13, 0-9). Tanner grabbed 10 rebounds.
