Griffin 3's lead No. 20 Georgia to comeback win over Auburn
AUBURN, Ala. -- Tiaria Griffin made four 3-pointers en route to 16 points to lead No. 20 Georgia to a 57-52 comeback victory over Auburn on Sunday.
Griffin hit back-to-back 3-pointers from the same spot on the floor to give Georgia a 52-47 lead with 2:21 left.
Georgia's Shacobia Barbee went 1 of 2 from the free throw line for a 55-49 lead with just under a minute left. Auburn's Brandy Montgomery answered with a 3-pointer to make it 55-52 with 33 seconds remaining. Griffin hit 1 of 2 from the line with 16.9 left and Auburn missed a 3-pointer and had another blocked.
Barbee had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Georgia (15-2, 3-1 SEC).
Hasina Muhammad led Auburn (9-8, 0-4) with 18 points and Tra'Cee Tanner had 12.
Muhammad's basket gave Auburn a 24-13 lead with just under five minutes left in the first half, but Georgia closed on a 11-2 run.
