JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Brianna Butler scored 16 points and Diamond Henderson and Taylor Ford combined for 27 off the bench to lead No. 23 Syracuse to a 77-61 win over Jacksonville on Saturday.
The Orange (3-0) took control early, shooting 54.8 percent in the first half to lead the Dolphins (1-3), who shot 22.7 percent 43-21. Butler had 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting, including 3 of 5 from 3-point range, before the break.
Syracuse trailed 13-11 before Butler's 3 at the 13:14 mark ignited a 15-0 run. The lead ballooned to 32 points late in the second half.
The Orange finished at 48 percent, making 11 of 26 3-pointers.
Alexis Peterson had 10 points and 7 assists for Syracuse and Brianna Day had eight points and nine rebounds.
Loliya Briggs had 13 points for Jacksonville, which finished at 35.8 percent shooting.
