Matchweek 4 of the the Indian Super League kicks off with NorthEast United on top of the standings.

Here's a quick recap of the fixtures from the fourth matchweek, with the latest match report up first.

Chennaiyin FC 0-0 Kerala Blasters

Adrian Luna missed a penalty as the Kerala Blasters played out their second successive goalless draw this season, after a stalemate against Chennaiyin FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.

That Luna penalty was very much against the run of play, as the ball hit Irfan Yadwad's arm in the box, when the forward had his arm raised. However, the Blasters' talisman only hit the post after sending Mohammed Nawaz the wrong way. Otherwise, it was pretty much all Chennaiyin making all the running, yet continuing their goalless run.

Chennaiyin scored in their opening 1-1 draw against FC Goa, and have since gone three games without a goal, first losing 0-2 to Bengaluru FC, and 0-1 to Mohun Bagan, and now this 0-0 draw. Since Yadwad's goal in that game against Goa, Chennaiyin have taken 68 shots, 19 of them on target, and haven't scored even one.

Their best chances in this game also came from Yadwad, most notably a late one-on-one after he was played through by Bryce Miranda, but he looked to chip Amrinder Singh in the Balsters goal, who was upright when making the save.

Both sides were reduced to ten men in second half stoppage time, as Chennaiyin's Emmanuel Imanishimwe hauled down Andre Green for his second yellow card. Green himself was shown a red card for kicking out at Imanishimwe in the aftermath.

For the Blasters, this is now three games without a win, and another performance that would hav eleft coach Ashley Westwood fuming.

NorthEast United 1-1 Bengaluru FC

Bengaluru FC rode on a goal from substitute Vinith Venkatesh in the 93rd minute to earn a 1-1 draw against NorthEast United FC at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, in Guwahati, on Friday.

Jithin MS' first-half strike had put the hosts ahead, but Vinith struck late, converting Sunil Chhetri's pass to rescue a point for the visitors.

NorthEast United took the lead after González set up Jithin during a fast break, and the midfielder finished with a left-footed shot into the bottom-left corner.

Bengaluru pushed to find an equaliser and later introduced Sunil Chhetri and Suresh Wangjam into the game. It looked like the visiting team will take all three points but deep into stoppage time, Gurmeet Singh clashed with Eneko Satrustegui to spill the ball for Chhetri, who picked out Vinith inside the box, and the latter finished into the bottom-left corner to make it 1-1 and earn Bengaluru FC a share of the points.

FC Goa 1-1 SC Delhi

FC Goa and SC Delhi both continue to seek their first league wins of the season, after Alex Vallejo's stoppage time goal meant the clash between the two sides at Fatorda on Wednesday evening ended 1-1.

Vallejo swooped in unmarked at the back-post, as Tomba Singh flicked on a Franchu free-kick, and then with the six-yard box to himself, Vallejo picked his spot to beat Nora Fernandes in the SC Delhi goal. It also meant that for the third time in three games, Delhi have let a winning position slip. They've now dropped seven points from winning positions in just three games.

They were in that winning position thanks to Juan Pena, who produced a calm finish past Bob Jackson after being slipped through on goal by Rodriguinho, who was gifted the ball by Udanta Singh in Goa's half, early in the second half.

In the end, the draw did seem a fair result, particularly given how much Goa created late on in the second half. They had plenty of shots on goal and one particularly huge moment when Chiki had the goal to his mercy but only managed to send a Vallejo cross way over Nora's crossbar.

In the end, though, it was Vallejo himself who stepped up to ensure that Goa remain unbeaten, but with two home draws to start their season off, it's not quite the heights that Gouramangi Singh might have wanted in his debut season as head.
