Spin: Demidov's placement on injured reserve is simply procedural after the Canadiens announced Tuesday that he'll be sidelined for 2-4 weeks due to a lower-body injury. The 20-year-old appeared in all 82 regular-season games for Montreal last year and recorded 19 goals, 43 assists, 34 PIM, 28 hits and 26 blocked shots while averaging 15:30 of ice time.
