Fantasy Men's Basketball
News: 10 hours agoFox (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Saturday's preseason game against the Suns, Matt Guzman of SI.com reports.
Spin: Fox will end up missing two consecutive preseason games due to general soreness, so his next chance to play is Monday against the Jazz. Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle will form the Spurs' starting backcourt for Saturday's exhibition contest.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: At 28 years old, Fox finds himself as the grizzled veteran on a team full of young, up-and-coming superstars. Fox's scoring in his first full season with the Spurs (18.6 PPG) was more than six points lower than his average for the five previous seasons (24.7 PPG), in large part because he had to share shots with Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle. Also because he had to share minutes with Dylan Harper, who played well as a rookie and seems poised to pop as a sophomore. Fox's minutes and production could go down more this season as the three young stars all take on even larger roles.
