A female strawweight fight between Paige VanZant and Alex Chambers has been booked for UFC 191 on Sept. 5 in Las Vegas.
VanZant confirmed the bout via social media Wednesday.
The pay-per-view event will take place at MGM Grand Garden Arena. UFC officials have not announced the bout's placement on the card.
Fighting out of Sacramento, California, VanZant (5-1) has attracted a high level of attention through two fights in the UFC. The 21-year-old is coming off a unanimous decision over Felice Herrig on the main card of a UFC on Fox event in April.
VanZant is on a three-fight winning streak overall. Her last -- and only -- loss came via unanimous decision to Tecia Torres under the Invicta FC banner in January 2013.
Chambers (5-2), a former contestant on "The Ultimate Fighter" reality series, is 1-1 in the UFC. She submitted Kailin Curran via armbar in the third round of her most recent performance on May 10. Fighting out of Australia, Chambers has posted finishes in four of her five career victories.
A main event for UFC 191 has yet to be announced.
