Erick Silva vs. Rick Story to co-headline UFC Fight Night on Aug. 23

A welterweight matchup between Erick Silva and Rick Story, originally scheduled for Saturday, will now co-headline a UFC Fight Night on Aug. 23 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

UFC officials confirmed the 170-pound bout, following an initial report by the Saskatoon StarPhoenix. The televised event will take place at SaskTel Centre.

The fight was booked to this weekend's UFC Fight Night in Hollywood, Florida, but was recently pulled after visa issues prevented Silva, a Brazil native, from entering the U.S.

Silva (18-5) will look to build on his first winning streak in the UFC. Considered a rising prospect when he signed with the UFC in 2011, the 31-year-old has struggled to find consistency in the Octagon, compiling an overall record of 6-4. He won consecutive fights for the first time in his UFC career with a first-round submission over Josh Koscheck in March.

Story (18-8) hasn't fought since recording one of the most impressive wins of his career, a split decision against Gunnar Nelson in October. He will make 18th appearance in the UFC and is on a two-fight winning streak.

A non-title featherweight bout between Max Holloway (13-3) and Charles Oliveira (20-4) will headline the UFC Fight Night event.
