Patterson's 22, Jackson with double-double lead Charlotte over Temple 73-70
PHILADELPHIA -- — Lu'Cye Patterson scored 22 points, Dishon Jackson had a double-double and Charlotte beat Temple 73-70 on Sunday.
Patterson shot 6 for 12 (3 for 5 from 3-point range) and 7 of 7 from the free throw line for the 49ers (15-8, 9-2 American Athletic Conference). Jackson added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Igor Milicic Jr. had 11 points.
The Owls (8-16, 1-10) were led by Hysier Miller, who recorded 14 points. Temple also got 13 points and four assists from Quante Berry. The loss was the Owls' ninth in a row.
Charlotte went into the half leading Temple 33-29 after Patterson scored 13 points in the half. Charlotte turned a three-point second-half lead into a 14-point advantage with an 11-0 run to make it a 63-49 lead with 5:34 remaining. Milicic scored all 11 of his points in the second half.
