GREENVILLE, S.C. -- — Ben Vanderwal scored 15 points as Furman beat VMI 75-62 on Wednesday night.

Vanderwal had 13 rebounds for the Paladins (14-12, 8-5 Southern Conference). JP Pegues scored 14 points and added eight assists. Marcus Foster had 13 points and was 4 of 14 shooting, including 2 for 8 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 4 from the line.

Taeshaud Jackson led the Keydets (4-22, 1-12) in scoring, finishing with 14 points, 12 rebounds and two steals. Maurice Wright Jr. added 13 points and three steals for VMI. Stephen Olowoniyi also had nine points. The loss was the Keydets' seventh straight.
