Spillers added seven rebounds for the Mountaineers (4-2). Donovan Gregory scored 17 points, shooting 4 of 5 from the field and 7 for 7 from the line. Jordan Marsh shot 5 for 8, including 3 for 4 from beyond the arc to finish with 13 points.
The Governors (3-4) were led in scoring by Demarcus Sharp, who finished with 22 points, five assists and four steals. Austin Peay also got 11 points and two steals from Ja'Monta Black. Dezi Jones also had 10 points.
