NATCHITOCHES, La. -- Warith Alatishe recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead Nicholls State to a 73-69 win over Northwestern State on Wednesday night.
Andre Jones had 13 points and six rebounds for Nicholls State (18-9, 12-4 Southland Conference), which earned its fourth consecutive victory. Elvis Harvey Jr. added 13 points.
Trenton Massner scored a season-high 22 points for the Demons (12-13, 9-7), whose four-game win streak was broken. Chudier Bile added 15 points. Jamaure Gregg had 11 rebounds.
Jairus Roberson, the Demons' second leading scorer entering the matchup at 11 points per game, was held scoreless. He failed to make a shot from behind the arc (0 of 4).
