MORAGA, Calif. -- Tanner Krebs tied his career high with six 3-pointers and finished with a season-high 20 points to help Saint Mary's beat San Jose State 75-45 on Saturday night.
Krebs, who came in shooting 42 percent from the field and 35 percent from 3-point range this season, was 7-of-12 shooting including 6 of 9 from behind the arc. Jordan Ford added 16 points and Elijah Thomas scored 10 for Saint Mary's (9-6).
Noah Baumann hit a 3-pointer to trim San Jose State's deficit to 19-17 with 10:46 left in the first half but the Spartans didn't score again until Michael Steadman's layup with 19:19 to play. Saint Mary's, which opened the game with a 9-0 run and never trailed, scored the final 25 first-half points and led by at least 23 points thereafter.
Oumar Barry had 11 points for SJSU (3-9), which has lost three in a row. Baumann and Steadman added 10 points apiece.
Saint Mary's, which had a season-high 14 steals, scored 30 points off 19 Spartans turnovers.
