RUSTON, La. -- Erik McCree had his 12th double-double of the season, Jacobi Boykins scored 17 points and Louisiana Tech cruised to a 77-61 win over Florida International on Saturday night.

Florida International (6-21, 2-12 Conference USA) scored 10 of the first 13 points before McCree made a layup and then a 3 to spark a 28-7 run that put Louisiana Tech up by 14 points with 2:41 left in the half. Donte McGill's 3-pointer pulled the Panthers to 38-25 at the break, but McCree scored 12 points during a 19-8 spurt to start the second half and the Ragin' Cajuns cruised from there.
